Effective immediately, lane choice for Quick/Pro-Comp/Pro-Gas will now be determined by the driver’s qualifying position. Drivers will still be paired by utilizing the card system where the first card pulled races the second card pulled. For example, if the first card pulled is the number 1 and the second card pulled is the number 1; then the first vehicle in lane 1 will race the second vehicle in lane 1.
After the pairing is made, the staging lane director will verify which driver is qualified better and ask that driver which lane he/she wants. For example, if the first card pulled is the number 2 and the second card pulled is the number 1; then the first vehicle in lane 2 will race the first vehicle in lane 1 with lane choice going to the better qualifier of that pair.
Please note, it is the driver’s responsible to place their qualifying position of the front window for their vehicle. If no number is placed, lane choice will automatically be given to the driver who has the qualifying number on their front window. Qualifying sheets will be posted on the office wall after each session. Any driver placing the wrong qualifying number on their window will be disqualified!
Lastly, the number one qualifier will receive the bye run first round if there is an odd amount of cars. Reaction time to still decide bye runs after first round. Once again, drivers are responsible for placing their qualifying position on the front window of their vehicle.
