I installed some underdrive pulleys on my stock 87' 5.0 Mustang and the voltage now goes down to 9-10 volts on idle. Before I mess anything up, am I suppose to do something else to the car so it doesn't do that?

What we recommend you do is to leave the factory alternator pulley on. Just install the waterpump and crank pulley. What happens is, the underdrive alternator pulley is larger than the factory one. But that slows it down too much and it won't charge. Some people even put on a smaller pulley on the alternator to make sure it charges at idle.
